UbuMonkey 2.1 ready for release!

UbuMonkey 2.1 is now packaged and ready to go! All that's left is testing it on my other machines, then tomorrow I'll release it! The Launchpad repo and the Sourceforge SVN repo are also both back up and running. Until tomorrow!

We need developers!

The UbuMonkey team is looking for REALbasic and Java developers to join our team. I believe it would be good for the project to build a Java version of the current REALbasic built UbuMonkey 2.0, so that we can explore other development options besides REAL Studio. Though we are always looking for REAL Studio developers too! If you want to help, please contact one of the admins.

UbuMonkey 2.0 Final Released!

It's here! It has many major improvements. There is now a menu item for UbuMonkey (for Gnome at least), located at Applications>Internet>UbuMonkey Web Browser. On startup, make sure to go to Edit>Settings and set your homepage, so that you don't have a blank page on startup. That is a small bug that we will try to fix in 2.1 soon. Anyway, you can download it here. Hope you like it, and send us an email if you find a bug, or would like to suggest a feature.

UbuMonkey 2.0 Final Release Preparations

Happy new year! Tomorrow, UbuMonkey 2.0 should be ready for final release! Just a few more things left to do. Also, we are going to start work on a Python and Android port of UbuMonkey, so if you have any experience developing for Android (Java mainly), and would like to help out, please email one of the admins from the project page. 2.0 progress and new features

2.0 is almost done! We have added MANY new features and bug fixes. Some new features include:

Enter key support

Press enter to search and visit URL's

Googbar

Search Google from the browser!

Tabs

We are currently working on the tabs.

UI Improvements

The browser looks prettier! We are also planning to introduce themes, to make it more customizable.

To check out these new features and bug fixes, check out the svn, open trunk/2.0/ubumonkey.rbp with REAL Studio, click Run, and Ubu Monkey will open! Please send feedback and any feature requests you may have, in order to make this a great release. :-)
